DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer at O|P, you'll play a crucial role in supporting, owning, and enhancing our infrastructure and deployment processes. You'll work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the smooth, efficient, and secure delivery of our cutting-edge marketing analytics platform.

The role in a nutshell:

Responsibilities:

As the key driver of our DevOps operations, you will:

• Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Assist in configuring, maintaining, and improving our cloud environments, primarily focusing on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Build & Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and maintain robust continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to ensure smooth and secure software delivery.
• Drive Automation: Automate manual deployment processes and infrastructure management to maximize team efficiency.
• Collaborate for Scalability: Work side-by-side with development teams to optimize the application performance, reliability, and scalability of our marketing analytics platform.
• Ensure System Reliability: Monitor overall system health, analyze metrics, and manage incident response to minimize downtime.
• Enforce Security Standards: Integrate and enforce security best practices and compliance frameworks across our deployment processes and cloud infrastructure.
• Continuously Learn & Innovate: Evaluate and apply modern DevOps principles, tools, and methodologies in a fast-paced, real-world setting.

Requirements:

• Experience: 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Infrastructure role.
• Linux / OS: Solid hands-on experience with Linux system administration, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Cloud Platforms: Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure in production, with a strong preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Containerization: Strong practical experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform) to provision and manage cloud resources.
• CI/CD: Experience building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., TeamCity, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Observability: Familiarity with modern monitoring, logging, and alerting stacks (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Datadog).
• Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and tooling.
• Autonomy: Ability to work independently, take ownership of the infrastructure, and proactively solve problems.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills in English.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with data-intensive environments and scaling databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, BigQuery).
• Basic understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, ISO27001).
• Understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, DNS, load balancing) and cloud cost optimization (FinOps).
