DevOps Engineer

In this role you design, build, operate and continually improve storage infrastructure for the Datacentre Infrastructure unit at Pictet Tech. You ensure secure, available, up-to-date storage platforms and develop internal tooling to boost efficiency and reduce risk. You promote DevOps practices, mentor colleagues, and participate in on-call rotations. You contribute to shaping Pictet’s global storage offering and data tiering strategy, helping the organisation scale its storage capabilities in a banking context.

• Design, build, operate and continuously improve storage infrastructure platforms
• Keep infrastructure secure, up to date and online
• Develop internal tooling and processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational risks
• Promote infrastructure software development practices and DevOps
• Teach, mentor, grow and advise other domain experts and teams
• Participate in on-call duties in rotation with other team members

• Engineering or university degree
• Significant knowledge of architecture topics such as integration, security and storage technologies (Kubernetes, Cinder, Commvault, Everpure)
• Experience with infrastructure management tools (monitoring and observability, logging, configuration management)
• Software craftsmanship practices, programming and scripting languages (Python, Java, Go, bash, PowerShell)
• Deeply curious, ready to help, always learning new skills and technologies
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Focuses on proactive strategies to prevent issues before they occur
• Fluent in French and English
• Must be resident in Switzerland
