About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Dev Ops Engineer to bolster their IT infrastructure in Tembisa. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, focusing on automating and streamlining our deployment processes. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage cloud infrastructure, implement CI/CD pipelines, and ensure the reliability and scalability of our systems. You will play a crucial part in enhancing our operational efficiency and supporting the development teams in delivering software faster and more reliably within the growing Gauteng tech landscape.

Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS or Azure. Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes. Implement and manage infrastructure as code (Ia C) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible. Monitor system performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery. Develop and maintain scripting for automation tasks and system administration. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Dev Ops Engineer or in a similar role. Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Power Shell) and experience with configuration management tools. Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
