DevOps Engineer - Power Management Systems (SCADA)
Summary
Maintain and automate SCADA systems for high-voltage electricity networks, using Linux, Ansible, and CI/CD to ensure reliable power grid operations.
At Capgemini Engineering, you will help maintain and enhance mission‑critical infrastructure for a leading European transmission system operator as a DevOps Engineer - Power Management Systems (SCADA). You’ll work on EMS/SCADA platforms that control high‑voltage electricity networks as part of the “Control Room of the Future” initiative.

Your role
In this role, you will, or be willing to learn to:
- Monitor and optimize performance of SCADA systems across high‑voltage electricity networks.
- Develop automation solutions for upgrades, patches, and configuration management.
- Coordinate incident resolution under pressure, including P1 scenarios.
- Maintain runbooks, protocols, and documentation for power management systems.
- Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience with SCADA systems in energy or utility environments.
- Strong scripting and automation skills, for example Ansible, and Linux system administration.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and virtualized deployment environments.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
