DevOps Engineer
Summary
Designs and implements CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps best practices for cloud/hybrid environments (Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes) to support eCommerce, AI, and data platforms, collaborating with dev, infra, and security teams.
An experienced DevOps Engineer is needed to drive the adoption of modern DevOps and Agile practices across a large-scale technology environment.
The role will focus on designing, implementing and governing CI/CD tooling and automated deployment pipelines for applications and infrastructure. You will work closely with development, engineering, infrastructure and security teams to build secure, reliable and scalable deployment processes.
You will have the opportunity to work across modern Azure and hybrid-cloud environments, including Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes and other open-source technologies, supporting a broad range of technology initiatives including applications, eCommerce, integration services, Generative AI, Data & Analytics and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement development, testing, release, hotfix and support processes using DevOps best practices.
- Configure, deploy and manage CI/CD tooling and pipelines.
- Build and maintain automated pipelines incorporating testing, security and quality controls.
- Manage software and artefact repositories, including associated governance.
- Implement automation tools, development environments and supporting infrastructure.
- Contribute to the architecture, design and engineering of large-scale technology projects.
- Automate the deployment and management of scalable workloads across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, engineering, security and other stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain DevOps governance aligned with Agile/SCRUM, ITIL and information security requirements.
- Continuously improve DevOps processes, tooling and automation in line with industry best practice.
- Act as a DevOps advocate, helping teams adopt effective engineering and automation practices.
- Maintain technical documentation, project wikis and relevant knowledge libraries.

- Proven experience implementing CI/CD pipelines across large-scale Linux, Unix and/or Windows environments.
- Experience managing complex CI/CD pipelines supporting different types of applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure and deployment automation.
- Experience with one or more DevOps automation technologies such as:
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Exposure to Agile/SCRUM and ITIL environments.
- DevOps, cloud or Agile-related certifications.
- Experience working across enterprise applications, integration, Data & Analytics or AI platforms.
