DevOps Engineer

Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to build out our development operations. As the first DevOps hire at Qadium, you will leverage your intuition to build out processes that improve our end-to-end system reliability and automate our development, testing, and deployment processes. In this role you will have enormous responsibility and autonomy to identify and remediate problems, and build out and support new projects. This role comes with a lot of opportunity -- the ideal fit will successfully rise to the challenge of growing and leading a team of DevOps engineers as Qadium scales.

Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts
- Use of Ansible or another configuration management tool
- Experience with Linux system administration
- Experience with cloud service management (e.g., Google Compute Engine or Amazon Web Services)
- Ability to program in Python
- Experience with web application deployment
- Experience with Cloudera Hadoop (CDH), Apache Storm, Apache Kafka, and related technologies
- Experience with container technology, such as Docker
- Interest in cybersecurity
Experience:
- Deploying and managing VPS and cloud services, e.g., on GCE or AWS
- Setting up and managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools
- Instrumenting our deployed code to automatically alert for problems
- Working with the other engineers to automate processes
- Managing teams and/or projects
