DevOps Engineer

The DevOps engineer performs IT development and operations work. The development work is focused on creating and managing technologies needed for the interchange and processing of data. The operations work is focused on supporting the end-users of the organization’s systems and tools. The DevOps engineer will develop and operate technologies that cover web &mobapps, AI solutions, and Knowledge Graphs.

Key Responsibilities

• Development and operation of IT components and systems
• Integration, testing, and deployment of components developed by team members
• Development of front-end and server-side logic and database schema
• Building reusable code, storage schemes, and libraries for future use
• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Design and implementation of data interchange solutions

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or Information Technology
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good planning and organizing skills, attention to detail
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills
• Good moral character

Key Competencies

• Proficient in front-end technologies JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Proficient in any of the following programming languages: Python, PHP, NodeJS, Java, Swift, or Kotlin, and command-line interface (CLI) like PowerShell
• Proficient in WordPress including themes and plugins, as well as GA4, Firebase, GTM, Looker
• Proficient in storage technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Cloud SQL; experience with Cloud Storage and Graph dbs like Neo4j; and familiarity with non-persistent storage like Redis and Memorystore
• Proficient in GCP-based technologies Compute Engine, Cloud Function, Cloud Scheduler; experience in Kubernetes, Cloud Run, Cloud NAT; familiarity with Load Balancers, Elasticsearch; or their equivalent in AWS or Azure
• Experience in IAM systems like KeyCloak, Cognito, or AD
• Experience with code versioning tools, such as Git, GitHub, Bitbucket
• Familiarity with OpenAI GPT
• Familiarity with event streaming product suite Apache Kafka, Apache Pinot, Apache Druid, Apache Superset
