DevOps Engineer- Reading

In this DevOps role you will design and build automation to deploy systems across private and public clouds. You will help migrate infrastructure to cloud-based, IaC-driven platforms and support containerized microservices in Kubernetes. You’ll mentor peers as automation takes hold and operate a suite of SaaS solutions spanning traditional and modern architectures. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to scale secure, reliable environments in a fast-growing fintech context. • Design and develop automation for cloud-based systems (private/public)
• Deploy server- and container-based environments
• Mentor colleagues in automation adoption
• Operate and maintain SaaS solutions across multi-tier and microservice architectures
• Support cloud transition and IaC initiatives
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to improve tooling and processes

• Experience in Agile DevOps culture
• Automation experience (ideally Puppet)
• Containerisation experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Java app servers (WebLogic)
• Database setup, restore and mirroring (Oracle, MSSQL, Elastic Search)
• Load balancers and SSL/ASM expertise (F5)
• CI/CD and repo tooling (Puppet, Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Pulp)
• Enterprise monitoring and alerting (Prometheus, Icinga, OEM)
• Redhat/CentOS Linux and Windows Server familiarity
• Backup solutions (Commvault)
• Security fundamentals for network traffic and third-party software
• Scripting languages (Perl, Bash, Ruby, Python)
