Devops Engineer (Singapore/India)

• The role exists to design, automate, and support DevOps and cloud engineering capabilities that improve release speed, reliability, and control.

• It enables secure delivery across CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, container, security, and observability tooling in regulated banking environments.

• It supports teams working across AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, ADO, Artifactory, and related platforms.

• It requires knowledge of Databricks, Lakehouse concepts, Delta-based data processing, and cloud-based data/ML pipeline orchestration across development, staging, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Understanding and knowledge on Implementing automated testing platforms, unit tests, and CICD

• Understanding and knowledge on code versioning tools, such as Git, Bitbucket, Azure devops

• Understanding and knowledge on Security tools Sonarqube, Aqua, Nexus lifecycle.

• Understanding of container platform, such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Familiar and working experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, ADO

• Understanding and experience in working on Relation and non-Relation DBs (Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB)

• An in depth understanding of Public/Private/Hybrid Cloud solutions and experienced in integrating public cloud into traditional hosting/delivery models with a specific focus on AWS

• Understanding and experience on developing cloud native microservices using frameworks such as Python, Nodejs

• Understanding and knowledge of Databricks, Delta Lake/Lakehouse patterns, and cloud-based data pipelines for scalable data engineering and MLOps workloads.

• Build and maintain insights through Data Analytics applications.

• Established technology infrastructure career in engineering and delivery with relevant experience

• Strong development background and understanding of how applications are built

• AWS Hands-on experience – certified (Preferred)

• Experience on both public and private cloud platforms

• Experience using containers like docker and Kubernetes

• Experience of infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar

• Experience in Ansible or similar

• Experience on Splunk, ELK stack

• Exposure to automate build and deployment pipelines

• Banking experience, it’s important the candidate has been exposed to the security and compliance restrictions which banks have to deal with or at least worked in an environment which is regulated

• Azure cloud experience is an advantage

• Experience with rule and advanced logic creation within SPLUNK is an advantage

• A solid understanding of DevOps and Infrastructure as code, must be hands on with DevOps tools and can automate deployments to AWS

• Use of DevOps tools to build infrastructure and manage configurations

• Databricks Workflows, MLflow and security based on Unity Catalog.

• Understanding of 3 tier and microservice architecture. Programming skills in, modern language like Java/Golang/Python

• Background in various disciplines is essential, such as Development, Testing, Support, and Engineering. Having a development background with infrastructure experience is an advantage

• Significant knowledge of cloud technologies for design and build, both public and private.

• A solid understanding of core infrastructure components: OS, network, storage, Database, Web

• Knowledge of Virtualised environments required including docker/containerization

• Solving complex automation and platform engineering problems.

• Building reliable, secure, and scalable delivery platforms.

• Working in collaborative teams that operate in regulated, high-control environments.

Our Ideal Candidate

• 6 +years’ experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related infrastructure/operations role

• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, CircleCI) and build/release automation

• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Proven ability to collaborate, influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders (engineering leads, architects, product owners) with clear, logical recommendations

• Proactive approach to identifying platform and pipeline issues, anticipating risks, and developing robust, scalable solutions with strong engineering judgment and strategic thinking

• Understanding of enterprise technology environments; capacity and curiosity to learn complex banking systems, regulatory constraints, and security requirements

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation and stakeholder presentations (e.g. in PowerPoint, Excel/Sheets for reporting and dashboards)

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
