DevOps Engineer - SIP Core (Voice Platform)

Operate and modernize a critical SIP/VoIP platform for business customers, ensuring high availability and performance while driving automation and DevOps practices in a Linux-based environment.
Help us run and evolve a mission‑critical SIP platform used by business customers every day. In this role, you ensure stability and availability while actively driving automation and modernization of our voice services. You’ll work in a DevOps setup with real ownership and impact — from operations to continuous improvement.

What impact will you have?
- Operate and improve SIP‑based telecommunication backend systems
- Ensure high availability, stability, and performance of voice services
- Monitor systems proactively and prevent incidents
- Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis
- Test and deploy updates, fixes, and improvements
- Drive automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency
- Contribute to capacity planning and system health checks
- Maintain and improve documentation and runbooks
- Participate in on‑call rotation (Engineer on Duty)
Must‑haves
- Experience operating SIP/VoIP platforms (ideally Ribbon SIP Core)
- Strong knowledge of SIP, VoIP protocols, and secure transport (RTP, SRTP, TLS)
- Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, IPSec)
- Experience with Linux systems and system operations
- Hands‑on mindset in troubleshooting and problem‑solving
- Good English skills (C1)
Nice‑to‑haves
- Automation & DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Terraform, Ansible)
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash)
- Experience with Kubernetes / cloud environments
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and ITSM / ITIL
- Experience working in agile setups
- German language skills

Contract terms
