An opportunity is available for a DevOps Engineer to support Linux-based infrastructure, automation, and platform operations within a technical environment. The role focuses on system administration, infrastructure automation, performance optimisation, and maintaining reliable production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Linux environments (Oracle Linux, RHEL, CentOS)
- Develop automation solutions using scripting and configuration management tools
- Build and maintain infrastructure automation using Puppet, Ansible, Foreman, or Katello
- Manage source code repositories and version control using Git
- Monitor infrastructure performance and support observability initiatives
- Support virtualisation technologies and identity management solutions
- Work with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases
- Identify infrastructure issues, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimisation
- Lead technical infrastructure projects from design through implementation
- Support 24/7 operational environments and collaborate with global teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 5+ years of Linux system administration experience (Oracle Linux, RHEL, or CentOS)
- Strong scripting skills using Bash, Python, and/or Go
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Foreman, or Katello
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools
- Experience with VMware, Centrify, and Windows Active Directory
- Familiarity with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and/or MySQL databases
Preferred:
- Proven ability to lead technical infrastructure projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
