DevOps Engineer
Salary: RM 9,000 – RM 12,500 per month
About the role
Join SPEED at a critical stage as we prepare our platform for live production deployment. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the platform is secure, scalable, stable, and operationally ready for real-world usage.
Your mission is to build and maintain the infrastructure, deployment pipelines, monitoring systems, and operational processes required to support a reliable SaaS environment particularly for financial workflows where uptime, data integrity, and security are essential.
Working within a focused cross-functional team, you will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product stakeholders while maintaining strong ownership of platform reliability and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure environments for development, staging, and production systems while ensuring scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes while improving deployment efficiency and consistency
Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response mechanisms to ensure system uptime, performance visibility, and operational stability
Implement infrastructure security best practices including access management, secrets handling, SSL management, backup strategies, and vulnerability mitigation to support secure financial system operations
Manage containerized application environments using Docker and support orchestration workflows where applicable
Support database reliability through backup automation, recovery planning, environment synchronization, and performance monitoring
Optimize infrastructure performance, resource utilization, and scalability to support increasing transaction volume and concurrent users
Work closely with developers and QA teams to support release readiness, deployment troubleshooting, rollback planning, and production issue resolution
Maintain infrastructure documentation, deployment procedures, disaster recovery plans, and DevOps operational standards
Continuously improve infrastructure architecture, deployment workflows, monitoring capabilities, and operational efficiency using modern DevOps practices
About you
Applicable to Malaysian only.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
At least 4 years and above of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
Ability to work independently with strong ownership mindset
Clear communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical teams
Strong understanding of system reliability, scalability, and operational risk management
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Understanding of infrastructure architecture and server management
Experience managing Linux-based environments
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
