DevOps Engineer
Summary
Designs and maintains secure CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure on AWS, using Kubernetes, Terraform, and monitoring tools to ensure reliability and compliance.
Systems is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to enhance DevOps practices by embedding security into every phase of the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage secure CI/CD pipelines, ensure compliance with industry standards, and leverage right tools to build a resilient and secure cloud environment
Responsibilities:
- Ensure availability and reliability of AWS infrastructure.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and reporting across all infrastructure services.
- Manage day-to-day support and maintenance of infrastructure, including handling escalations, stakeholder communications, and adherence to best practices.
- Manage
- Design, build, and maintain/manage CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline (e.g. CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy).
- Build and deploy Docker containers within a managed orchestration environment (e.g., ECS or EKS).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance engineering tools, systems, procedures, and platform security.
- Participate actively in the deployment and release processes.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of DevOps experience or completion of a certified DevOps program.
- Strong experience with AWS and its core services (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, etc.).
- Proficient in orchestrating containerized applications using Kubernetes (especially EKS) and ECS
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, NewRelic, Datadog).
- Basic scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform.
- Upper-intermediate level of English (both oral and written).
- Familiar with Agile methodologies, including Scrum.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts in cloud environments.
- Experience with centralized logging solutions (e.g., ELK stack, CloudWatch Logs).
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (AWS DevOps tools, Jenkins, etc.).
- Strong grasp of DevOps best practices and methodologies.
- AWS Certification - Associate/Professional
- Experience with Azure cloud will be a plus,
