DevOps Engineer [Talents Bench]

• Analyze customer requirements related to software components, system availability, security, performance, and scalability to develop effective infrastructure solutions.
• Design, document, and implement comprehensive cloud hosting architectures, including capacity planning, instance selection, resource allocation, and network configuration.
• Estimate infrastructure costs and recommend cloud solutions that balance performance, reliability, security, and budget considerations.
• Build, configure, test, and maintain cloud resources while using automation and configuration management practices to ensure repeatability, consistency, and traceability.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network issues, resolving infrastructure incidents and escalating application-related problems to the appropriate development teams.
• Monitor system health and performance, conduct performance tuning, plan for future capacity needs, and implement appropriate security controls and monitoring tools.
• Design and execute load and stress tests, document results, investigate infrastructure bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to system reliability and performance.
• Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery procedures, documenting outcomes and identifying opportunities to strengthen business continuity.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation for internal systems, customer deployments, infrastructure configurations, and technical handoffs.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical consultants, software architects, and developers to validate infrastructure deliverables against project requirements.
• Respond to support tickets and incidents within agreed service-level agreement (SLA) commitments, including participation in an on-call rotation of approximately one shift per month.
• Contribute to operational best practices, policies, and procedures while continuously developing technical expertise in cloud infrastructure and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• At least four years of hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure for production environments.
• Advanced to fluent English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed international teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Professional experience administering Linux and/or Windows systems, with demonstrated troubleshooting and maintenance capabilities in at least one environment.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation, preferably using Bash and Python; PowerShell experience is also acceptable.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, HTTP protocols, and core networking concepts.
• Experience with web accelerators, load balancers, reverse proxies, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
• Knowledge of cloud security, infrastructure monitoring, performance optimization, capacity planning, and disaster recovery practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues and implement reliable, scalable solutions.
• A customer-oriented mindset, supported by effective communication, collaboration, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and responding to operational incidents.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, approximately one shift per month, with additional compensation for the assigned shift.
• Alignment with the partner's corporate values and a genuine interest in using technology to help people.
• Additional cloud platform experience is an advantage.
• AWS certifications are desirable, or candidates should be willing to pursue relevant certifications.
• Interest in generative AI technologies and their potential to transform business operations is a plus.
• Must reside in Brazil and be able to work as a contractor under the applicable local arrangements. Visa sponsorship is not available.
