Join our Technology R&D Lab as a DevOps Engineer focused on build and deployment pipeline automation for our API-first, composable banking SaaS platform. You will help improve how engineering teams build, validate, package, release, and deploy software using GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD automation, and modern cloud tooling.

Working closely with software engineers, test engineers, and a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will design and maintain reliable CI/CD workflows, GitHub Actions automation, branching and release processes, deployment controls, quality gates, and environment promotion flows that support secure and repeatable delivery.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys automation, Git-based delivery workflows, practical release engineering, and improving developer productivity through reliable build, test, and deployment pipelines.

Your key tasks

  • Design, build, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for build, test, package, release, and deployment workflows

  • Develop and maintain GitHub Actions workflows, reusable actions, pipeline templates, and automation standards

  • Support practical branching, pull request, merge, tagging, and release strategies across engineering teams

  • Automate deployment pipelines for development, test, staging, and production environments with clear quality gates and approvals

  • Improve pipeline reliability, execution speed, observability, and failure handling across build and deployment processes

  • Automate manual release and deployment steps to reduce operational effort and improve delivery consistency

  • Partner with engineering teams to integrate automated tests, security checks, artifact handling, and deployment controls into pipelines

  • Manage pipeline configuration, secrets, environment variables, and deployment permissions using secure DevOps practices

  • Troubleshoot failed builds, blocked deployments, flaky checks, and release pipeline issues

  • Contribute to infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or AWS CDK where needed to support delivery workflows

  • Maintain clear documentation for CI/CD standards, branching models, release processes, and operational runbooks

  • Work closely with the Senior SRE to align deployment automation with reliability, observability, and operational readiness goals

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, Build Engineering, Release Engineering, Platform Engineering, or CI/CD automation
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in production engineering environments

  • Strong practical experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions, including workflows, triggers, jobs, environments, approvals, secrets, and reusable automation

  • Good understanding of Git workflows, pull request practices, branching strategies, versioning, tagging, and release management

  • Experience automating build, test, package, deployment, and environment promotion processes

  • Ability to troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, flaky checks, and integration problems across engineering teams

  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, TypeScript, or similar languages

  • Familiarity with cloud deployment concepts and AWS services used in modern delivery pipelines

  • Understanding of secure CI/CD practices, including secrets management, least-privilege permissions, and deployment controls

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a distributed engineering environment

Highly valued:

  • Experience standardizing CI/CD practices across multiple repositories or engineering teams

  • Experience with trunk-based development, GitFlow, release branches, feature branches, or other branching and release models

  • Experience using GitHub environments, deployment approvals, protected branches, required checks, and code ownership rules

  • Experience integrating automated testing, code quality, security scanning, dependency checks, or artifact management into pipelines

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or AWS CDK

  • Experience operating AWS-based, serverless, or event-driven SaaS platforms

  • Experience with observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry to monitor deployment and runtime health

  • Knowledge of rollback, blue-green, canary, or progressive deployment approaches

  • Familiarity with financial services platforms, regulated environments, or audit-sensitive release processes

  • Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot
