DevOps Engineer

Overview

In this role you will support and secure the DCC infrastructure to enable production deployments. You will work with cross‑functional teams to maintain the technical solution, promote automated provisioning, and uphold security and operational best practices. You will tailor tooling and processes to ensure high availability and resilience of the platform. This is your chance to influence secure infrastructure in a global technology leader and contribute to mission‑critical services.

• Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts for product delivery
• Define and implement production deployment approaches and resources (compute, network, storage)
• Support delivery teams with automation to provision infrastructure
• Ensure operational best practices: monitoring, backups, log management, and archives
• Educate the broader UK Thales community on security and operational constraints
• Ensure security best practices are upheld and that the platform cannot fail
• Collaborate with Software Engineering and IS Security architects to align on design and security requirements
• Document design and resource usage and track production readiness

• Proven track record in infrastructure engineering with production deployments
• Understanding of security practices for infrastructure and DevOps
• Experience with provisioning automation and scripting
• Ability to train teams and communicate operational constraints
• Degree level in an engineering discipline or closely related field
• Agile certification
• Experience with monitoring, backups, log management
