The Farley Group has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to support our growing operation. We have a proud tradition in the sales, manufacturing, installation and servicing of air‑supported structures since 1970 and are committed to continuing the development of new products and services to help our customers minimize costs and maximize revenues. The Engineer will have a background in mechanical and structural engineering and will work directly with our design team. The position will involve carrying out various engineering tasks and includes close coordination with our sales and manufacturing teams.

This is a hybrid remote position operating out of our Puslinch Head Office, with travel and site work required.

Responsibilities

  • Providing HVAC design for air‑supported structures which include air leakage calculations.
  • Developing preliminary designs for the foundation and superstructure of air‑supported structures.
  • Providing patterning layouts for fabric superstructures.
  • Conducting field surveys to assess existing conditions and install the superstructure.
  • Preparing specifications and selecting proposed HVAC equipment and materials.
  • Responding to client requests through our sales team.
  • Liaising and supporting our external structural consultant in reviewing and sealing drawing packages.
  • Working with our manufacturing team to resolve manufacturing and design‑related issues.
  • Working closely with staff at various levels to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in structural engineering.
  • Post‑secondary education in a mechanical or structural engineering program with the ability to obtain a Professional Engineering license.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian Standards, including provincial and national energy codes.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of municipal and provincial agency processes.
  • Self‑motivated interest in personal growth and development.
  • Post‑secondary education in a technical discipline.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced organizational, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously support multiple projects at various phases.

Job Type: Full‑time

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
