DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer – Azure Cloud to join our technology team and help build, automate, operate, and continuously improve our cloud infrastructure and application delivery platforms.

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and maintaining scalable and secure Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps platforms. You will work closely with software developers, architects, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity, application support, and business stakeholders to enable reliable and efficient application delivery across development, testing, and production environments. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Azure, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, containerization, automation, monitoring, and cloud security, together with a strong understanding of enterprise IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Cloud Infrastructure

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services.
• Manage Azure resources including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Azure Kubernetes Service, App
• Services, Storage, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and related services.
• Implement highly available, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective Azure architectures.
• Manage networking components including VNets, subnets, NSGs, load balancers, private endpoints,
• VPNs, and connectivity to on-premises environments.
• Support hybrid-cloud infrastructure and integration between Azure and enterprise data centres.
• Perform capacity planning, performance optimization, and cloud cost management.

DevOps & CI/CD

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Automate application build, testing, security scanning, release, and deployment processes.
• Implement deployment strategies such as rolling, blue-green, and canary deployments where
• appropriate.
• Establish and maintain reusable pipeline templates and DevOps standards.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application deployment processes and developerexperience.
• Implement automated environment provisioning and configuration management.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, patching, and operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, or similar technologies.
• Develop reusable automation modules and scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Apply version control and software engineering practices to infrastructure and automation code.

Containers & Kubernetes

• Deploy, operate, and support containerized applications using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Manage Kubernetes workloads, configurations, secrets, networking, scaling, and upgrades.
• Establish best practices for container security, resource management, and application availability.
• Troubleshoot container and Kubernetes-related performance and availability issues.

Monitoring, Reliability & Operations

• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across Azure environments and applications.
• Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and other observability platforms.
• Monitor system health, availability, performance, capacity, and security.
• Participate in incident management, problem management, and root-cause analysis.
• Develop automated remediation and self-healing capabilities where appropriate.
• Participate in on-call or after-hours support when required for critical systems.

Security & Governance

• Implement Azure security best practices and enterprise cloud governance
