DevOps Engineer, Veeqo

As a DevOps Engineer at Veeqo, you will strengthen the resiliency and security of the systems behind our ecommerce platform. You’ll collaborate with multiple engineering teams to build tooling and infrastructure that enable high operational excellence. The role blends creative problem-solving with technical execution, spanning cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and on-call incident response. You’ll contribute to security, cost optimization, and reliability at scale, helping Veeqo’s platform grow after its recent Amazon acquisition.

• Own and operate the infrastructure for Veeqo's ecommerce platform across AWS environments (EKS, Aurora, ElastiCache/Valkey, SQS, Amazon MQ, S3)
• Drive security and compliance delivery (ASR, risk remediation, environment separation, CVE patching)
• Optimize infrastructure costs to meet team goals (DRAM reduction, right-sizing, VPA adoption)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/VQJenkins, deployment automation, Terraform)
• Participate in on-call rotation for production incident response and resolution
• Deliver infrastructure changes through Managed Change Management with rollback planning
• Enhance platform reliability (multi-AZ, monitoring with Prometheus/CloudWatch, alerting, observability)
• Support cross-team engineering via tooling, automation and developer experience improvements

• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust)
• Experience designing or architecting reliable and scalable systems
• Preferred: experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
• Preferred: experience with AWS in a DevOps environment
