Remote role with 40 to 50% on site at government customer sites in DC or San Diego. You’ll need to live in, or relocate to, one of those areas. Relocation support is provided.

The company

A 180 person defense AI company whose agentic AI platform is deployed across 125+ US national security missions. It has raised $87M and has been profitable for years. The engineering culture is small, flat and high ownership, and the CTO meets every engineering hire.

They’re hiring 3 DevOps Engineers to join a team of six on the backend platform team. These are generalist roles for engineers who want ownership.

What you’ll do

  • Build and own CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (GitHub Actions)
  • Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform across commercial and high side environments
  • Harden and deploy software in AWS GovCloud, FedRAMP and behind VPN environments

What you’ll need

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
  • US citizenship
  • 4 to 10 years in DevOps, platform or infrastructure engineering (not pure IT)
  • Strong AWS, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes skills
  • Experience in non-standard environments such as GovCloud, FedRAMP, high side or behind VPN
  • Willingness to spend 40 to 50% of your time on site in DC or San Diego
  • Nice to have: CS degree, Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, Python, Pulumi, Datadog

The package

  • $170K to $240K base plus competitive equity
  • Relocation support for DC or San Diego
  • Unlimited PTO, fully paid parental leave and 401(k) match
  • Child and pet care reimbursement during work travel
