Site Reliability Engineer at Worldline maintains and automates payment infrastructure, ensuring 24/7 uptime, CI/CD pipelines, and incident response for card-issuing systems using cloud, scripting, and monitoring tools.

The opportunity

We are searching for a OPS Engineer, within a leading card issuing company. In an exciting, complex and growing environment, your role will be to ensure the best possible quality of products and services with high added value. Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Define and set development, test, release, update and support processes for DevOps operation
  • Design, automate and support CI/CD stack, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and logging
  • Prepare integration execution plan
  • Receive, validate, assemble and install these delivered components
  • When needed, manage user adaptation to ensure smooth and successful integration;
  • Build strong relationship with delivery teams and serve as single point of contact;
  • Monitoring processes to proactively identify issues and scale of environments
  • Maintain and support level 2 the applications (security, audit, enhancement, upgrade, etc.)
  • Strong customer focus;
  • Incident management and root cause analysis when needed;
  • Update ticketing system to follow the status and deliver appropriate answers
  • Learn from the issue and experiences
  • Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation
  • Maintain internal processes and procedures
  • Give proper feedbacks to the team;
  • Analyse the issue, make a diagnosis. Troubleshoot software issues reported by Worldline customers and partners, analyse communication traces, application logs, review source code/specifications and provide solutions in a timely manner. Solution-oriented and suggest action plan for problem resolution
  • On call (24x7x365 on team rotation)
  • Develop and automate tools to avoid manual actions.
  • Proactively maintain the infrastructure technology with 24x7x365 uptime service.
  • Ensure that good practices and knowledge are shared by all (internally and externally to the project)
  • Respect methodologies of the department and improve continually to be more efficient in our domain of applications;
  • Expand your knowledge in business and technical areas in order to be able to propose continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies;
  • Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.
  • Propose automation when applicable and any other ways to be more productive and quality-oriented;

Who are we looking for

  • Bachelor degree in IT or equivalent;
  • Good knowledge of relational database (SQL) and development languages PL/SQL;
  • Experience with Application Servers (Apache, Tomcat, IBM WebSphere);
  • Experience on Scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash, Shell);
  • Experience with tools such as: Jira, Git, Junit, Confluence, Apache Airflow, BigQuery, etc.
  • Monitoring Tools like Zabbix, grafana or splunk
  • Administrating Report/ BI Platforms like WebFocus, PowerBI
  • Experience with Cloud technologies such as : Google Cloud, Terraform scripts, CI/CD principles, etc.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies will be considered as a plus;
  • Knowledge of XML and/or web technologies such as: XML, XSD, XSLT, XPATH, SOAP, WS-SECURITY, HTML, CSS, JS;
  • Working environment: Linux, Windows, Oracle DB, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, CI/CD;
  • Experience with Production’s support will be considered as an advantage;
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately, within a team, or on an individual basis, under pressure with tight deadlines;
  • Problem solving, result oriented and analytical skills
  • Fluent in English (speaking and written). French and/or German will be a plus;
