DevOps Java API Developer
Summary
Build and maintain Java APIs and CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps, integrating cloud-native components and observability tooling for a large enterprise.
Our client (via Global Consultancy) is also hiring Java/API Engineers who combine backend/API development with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and modern observability tooling. This role supports API platform development and integration within a large enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java‑based APIs and backend services
- Build CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Integrate APIs with Azure services and cloud‑native components
- Implement monitoring, logging, and APM tooling for performance and reliability
- Collaborate with platform and DevOps teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Contribute to automation, testing, and deployment processes
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong Java/API development background
- Experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, automation)
- Understanding of cloud‑native patterns and API lifecycle
- Familiarity with observability tools (APM, logging, metrics)
- English‑speaking (Dutch not required)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kubernetes or containerised workloads
- Knowledge of Azure API Management or similar API gateways
- Experience in enterprise or financial environments
Location & Ways of Working
- Based near Amsterdam
1–2 days onsite per week (flexible)
