DevOps Lead

Summary

Lead cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices across AWS, Azure, and GCP, designing scalable CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and IaC while enforcing SRE and DevSecOps standards.

Role & responsibilities



  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

  • Define and drive the organization's DevOps strategy, CI/CD roadmap, and cloud transformation initiatives.

  • Architect, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.

  • Lead Kubernetes and Docker-based container orchestration, deployment automation, and platform engineering initiatives.

  • Develop and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.

  • Implement GitOps practices using ArgoCD or Flux to automate application deployments.

  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, observability, and performance through SRE best practices.

  • Drive DevSecOps initiatives by integrating security, compliance, vulnerability management, and secrets management into the SDLC.

  • Manage cloud cost optimization, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.

  • Establish enterprise monitoring and logging solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, Datadog, and CloudWatch.

  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software releases.

  • Lead production incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and post-incident reviews.

  • Mentor and manage DevOps engineers, conduct technical reviews, and foster a culture of automation and continuous improvement.

  • Define DevOps standards, governance, documentation, and operational best practices.

  • Evaluate and implement emerging DevOps tools, cloud services, and automation technologies.




Preferred candidate profile



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; Master's degree is preferred.

  • 7 to 12 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering, with 25 years in a technical leadership role.

  • Strong hands‑on expertise with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, OpenShift, and container orchestration.

  • Proven experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

  • Strong proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation frameworks.

  • Excellent Linux administration and scripting skills using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.

  • Experience with GitOps, ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, Datadog, and observability platforms.

  • Strong understanding of networking, IAM, cloud security, DevSecOps, compliance frameworks, and enterprise architecture.

  • Experience with microservices architecture, API management, high availability, disaster recovery, and cloud cost optimization.

  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, mentoring, communication, and decision‑making skills.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross‑functional teams.

  • Industry certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, CKA, CKAD, RHCE, Terraform Associate, or ITIL are highly preferred.
