Role Overview
Deloitte
Operations is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to join their Technology and
Transformation Programme, supporting a key end client. This role focuses on
implementing best practices in CI/CD, containerization, automation, and
deployment processes to drive operational excellence and deliver high-quality
solutions.
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Experience in technology
application development/deployment, with hands-on experience in setting up
CI/CD pipelines using industry best practices
- Experience managing source code and version control for
various projects
- Preferred: Experience with GIT, Jira (issue/problem
tracking), TeamCity (team collaboration software), and continuous
integration environments like uDeploy
- Experience deploying containerized applications using
Docker and OpenShift
- Working knowledge of build/ship commands using Docker,
Docker Compose, and Kubernetes
- Responsible for software builds and releases
- Working knowledge of Docker/OpenShift registry
- Good to have: Knowledge of Lighspeed
- Expert-level knowledge of debugging deployment issues
- Experience designing and developing builds, scripts,
and deployment procedures (TeamCity/uDeploy preferred)
- Works closely with quality assurance teams to ensure
final versions meet organizational standards in all environments
- Certification in DevOps skills is desirable
