DevOps/SRE Engineer
Summary
DevOps/SRE Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and managing infrastructure including distributed systems, cloud environments, Kubernetes clusters, network security, monitoring, and CI/CD workflows. Core technologies include Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Linux, and blockchain/DLT systems.
You design, deploy, and manage infrastructure for technical and client requirements. You administer distributed systems, cloud environments, Kubernetes clusters, ingress and load-balancing solutions, network security, monitoring, telemetry, backups, databases, CI/CD workflows, and onboarding automation. You also provide technical support, perform audits, analyze root causes, and recommend infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement system backup and database archive schedules
- Evaluate, implement, and manage software and hardware solutions
- Conduct hardware and software audits of workstations and remote servers
- Manage subscriptions, onboarding, coordination, billing, and team education
- Work with architects and developers to debug problems and solutions
- Enforce best practices with external vendors
- Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures and schedules
- Provide technical support to team members
- Set up accounts using onboarding automation
- Set up and manage cloud computing environments
- Design and deploy Kubernetes clusters with highly available control planes
- Evaluate and deploy nginx or HAProxy ingress controllers
- Evaluate and deploy ALB and NLB load-balancing solutions
- Set up and deploy network security tools and services
- Design and deploy monitoring and telemetry solutions
- Design and deploy end-to-end telemetry data ingestion pipelines
- Configure data collector agents, dashboards, and automated alerting components
- Assist development teams in setting up CI/CD workflows
- Analyze business needs and benchmark database solutions
- Document findings and recommend database solutions
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator, or in a related role
- Strong background in deployment automation and configuration management of large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with cloud compute providers, preferably AWS; DigitalOcean, Google Cloud, and Azure are also considered
- Linux systems administration expertise
- Experience with Docker orchestration
- Significant experience designing infrastructure management tools
- Experience performing root cause analysis on distributed systems
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related IT, or an additional 3 years of experience
- Previous experience with blockchain or DLT technologies
- Understanding of financial securities and participants in the securities ecosystem
- Start-up experience, including remote teams
- Knowledge of security best practices
- Personal experience managing cryptocurrencies and private keys
