DevOps Systems Engineer

As a systems administrator and integrator working on a DevOps team, you will be responsible for implementation and administration of big data solutions, virtualized (and cloud) infrastructure (including AWS and OpenShift services), and network and system security controls. Your team will work closely with the development and security teams to build and automate the necessary infrastructure and procedures to support entire service lifecycle, from design through development, to production and maintenance. You will support and scale the systems, participate in a team setting using agile methodologies, and work independently on assigned tasks.

Requirements:

• Demonstrable expertise in Linux Administration (CentOS or Red Hat)

• Experience deploying, configuring, and monitoring of physical, virtual, and hybrid cloud environments

• Experience administering Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments, security groups, VPCs, ingress/egress rules, etc.

• Experience administering OpenShift or OpenStack platform services, gears, nodes, etc.

• An active Top Secret (SSBI) clearance with SCI eligibility is required to apply


Desired:

• Security Certification: One of GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security

• Experience with IaaS and PaaS automation through Puppet, Ansible, Chef, or Salt

• Experience with administration Accumulo, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL

• Experience with Storm and Kafka

• Experience with System Health Monitoring (Nagios, Sensu, etc.)

• Experience with Linux-based Virtual Machine Managers (VMMs) (KVM, QEMU, etc.) or Hypervisors (VMware, Xen, etc.)

• Shell scripting

• Experience building RPMs
