Job Summary
The engaged personnel will manage cloud environments, develop infrastructure as code, and implement secure, automated deployment pipelines to support project delivery and operational readiness in a government context.
Responsibilities
- Provision and manage GCC cloud environments across Development, UAT, and Production to ensure stable and scalable operations
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation to automate infrastructure deployment and updates
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to accelerate software delivery and improve reliability
- Configure and administer AWS services including compute, networking, storage, security, and monitoring components to optimize cloud infrastructure
- Integrate identity and access management with Whole-of-Government Active Directory (WOG AD) to enforce secure authentication and authorization
- Perform security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and security configuration in compliance with IM8 standards and project security requirements
- Configure and maintain networking components such as VPCs, Security Groups, routing, and connectivity services to ensure secure and efficient network architecture
- Implement monitoring, logging, and operational readiness capabilities to support proactive system management and incident response
- Support deployment, environment configuration, and troubleshooting for application components, APIs, and databases to maintain system availability
- Collaborate closely with project, development, and infrastructure teams to facilitate project delivery and ensure operational readiness
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience with AWS cloud services to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure
- Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code development and management
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes to automate software build and deployment
- Familiarity with Amazon Linux operating system administration
- Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls
- Experience configuring and managing VPCs and related networking components
- Experience working in government or regulated environments
