DevSecOps / IaC Engineer
Description
Automate how DoD test environments get built, patched and torn down, using Terraform, Ansible and GitLab CI.
You'll support a new Defense Health Agency program. This position is contingent upon contract award, and the start date will align with the program start.
What you'll do:
- Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code and pipeline jobs
- Build VM templates and configuration baselines
- Automate patching and STIG compliance checks
- Support environment requests from the program test teams
Must have:
- 3 or more years in DevOps, DevSecOps or systems automation
- Hands-on Terraform or Ansible, and a CI tool such as GitLab CI
- Linux administration
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and keep the background investigation DHA designates for this position
- DoD 8140 qualification for your work role before privileged access, or the ability to earn it within six months
Nice to have:
- vSphere experience
- Python or PowerShell scripting
- An active Secret clearance or higher
Location: Chantilly, Virginia (Washington, D.C. area) is preferred, on site at the test center. Remote from Huntsville, Alabama, or from anywhere in the continental U.S. also works, through government-approved virtual desktop access, with trips to Chantilly when the work needs them.
Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required for the investigation this role needs. Zaden's FSO verifies investigation status.
Pay range: $112,000 to $153,000 per year. Your location and experience set where you land in the range.
