DGM/GM Supply Chain

We are seeking an experienced and strategic DGM/GM Supply Chain professional to lead end-to-end procurement, sourcing, logistics, and supply chain operations for a renowned steel manufacturing company located in Choudwar, Odisha. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with a focus on strategic sourcing and procurement, and will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and frameworks for both direct and indirect materials, equipment, and services. Key responsibilities include leading inbound and outbound logistics to ensure the timely and cost-effective movement of raw materials and finished products. The successful candidate will oversee domestic and international procurement, freight planning, and logistics execution, ensuring optimum cost, quality, quantity, and delivery timelines in collaboration with mining, manufacturing, sales, and marketing teams. Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, transport federations, Indian Railways, and relevant government and regulatory bodies will be crucial. Additionally, the DGM/GM will identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain and logistics risks, monitor procurement and logistics MIS for data accuracy, and drive process efficiency. The role also involves preparing, monitoring, and managing supply chain budgets in coordination with the planning and budgeting team. The ideal candidate will possess 15 to 22 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, with strong expertise in large-scale manufacturing, preferably in the steel or allied industries. Proven skills in cost optimization, vendor management, freight negotiation, budgeting, and supply chain risk management are essential. Excellent leadership, negotiation, stakeholder management, and analytical skills are also required to succeed in this role.
