Diabetes Educator

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Diabetes Educator to join our team at Peninsula Private Hospital. In this role, you will provide evidence-based diabetes education and clinical support to inpatients, their families, and healthcare professionals. You will play a key role in promoting safe, effective diabetes management, supporting patient self-management, and improving health outcomes across a broad range of medical and surgical specialties

Assess, educate, and support patients with Type 1, Type 2, and other forms of diabetes during their hospital admission.

About You:

We are looking for a compassionate clinician with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering patient-centred care. You enjoy working collaboratively and are confident managing the complexities of diabetes care within an acute healthcare environment.

Essential Criteria

• Current registration with the relevant professional registration board (e.g. AHPRA for Registered Nurses or eligible allied health professionals).
• Demonstrated experience in diabetes education and clinical management.
• Knowledge of current evidence-based diabetes management guidelines.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
