Diagnostic Radiologic Technician
Summary
Operate CT and MRI machines, maintain equipment, and assist radiologists in performing diagnostic scans for patients at a military hospital.
About the Position: This position is located with the Radiology Department Naval Hospital Beaufort, South Carolina. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for candidates new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.
Assist radiologist in CT (Computed Tomography) Scan/ Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Operate and maintain radiographic processors.
Perform quality assurance test of various equipment.
Perform front desk duties such as scheduling appointments.
Provide preliminary diagnostic evaluation of scans.
Explain procedures to patient and family.
