Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

About the Position: This position is located with the Department of Radiology at Tripler Army Medical Center on the Island of Oahu, HI. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Direct the work of one or two lower grade technologists/technicians when procedures require assistance.

Communicate with patients the methods of procedures.

Perform CT procedures.

Confer with radiologist to establish requirements of nonstandard examinations.

Administer IV contrast media for CT procedures requiring IV contrast enhancement.

Provide basic nursing duties related to radiography such as emergency cardiac arrest procedures, use of the oxygen, suction and connecting patients to the EKG and blood pressure apparatus.

Evaluate the nature of critical and emergency procedures and rearrange patient priorities to accommodate them.

Enter and maintain quality control data into a database for statistical purposes.
