Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

About the Position: This position is is for the Computed Tomography (CT) tech position located at Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, Colorado. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation -A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. -Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. -Student Loan repayment may be authorized. -Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Review radiographic Computed Tomography (CT) requests to ensure it is the correct study, ensure each image meets standard, send images to radiologists, and ensure exam is complete.

Instruct, monitor, and observe other technologists in all aspects of the radiographic exam, patient care and handling.

Troubleshoot and assure CT imaging equipment is functioning properly.

Provide direct teaching and guidance for student and staff technologists in Diagnostic Radiology.

Monitor the function of digital and analog processors.

Demonstrate proficiency with all diagnostic modalities of the Diagnostic Radiology Service, Department of Radiology to include Operating Room (OR), Portables, Urology (GU), and Orthopedic X-Ray.
