Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

About the Position: This position is located at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA in the Directorate of Medical Support, Radiology Department. Recruitment or relocation incentives MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Advance Leave Accrual MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Independently perform a variety routine to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures.

Receive patients, explains method of procedure, positions patients, selects and sets technical factors, sets up/adjust accessory equipment required, and makes exposures necessary for the requested procedures.

Instruct students participating in the radiologic technologist program.

Perform procedures such as Upper and Lower GI studies, Intravenous Pyelograms, Cystography, Hystereosalpingography, Arthrography, Cholangiograms, Sinograms, Fistulagrams.

Independently performs a variety routine to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures.

Performs duties, when required, as a Quality Control Technologist.

Schedules patients for radiology appointments using the computerized scheduling system.
