Diagnostic Radiology Clinical Lead
Summary
The Diagnostic Radiology Clinical Lead is responsible for the maintenance and quality of patient care throughout the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish daily work assignments for technologists.
- Perform visual preventative safety inspections and report dangerous department equipment conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Perform annual equipment inspections and make corrections as dictated by HFAP.
- Utilize all assigned functions of the Radiology Information Computer System (RICS).
- Provide portable X-ray service to all areas of the hospital.
- Reviews images to ensure good quality and, if necessary, works with technologists to improve image quality.
- Confirm patient identification prior to procedure by verbal confirmation on outpatients and identification band on in-patients.
- Coordinate apron/glove inspections as required by HFAP.
- Assist Radiology Supervisor in monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed, staying within the established expense budget.

- Attend required meetings and in-services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Reports To: Radiology Supervisor, but may also be assigned work from the Radiologist or the Administrative Director of Radiology.
Supervises: Diagnostic Radiology Technologists

Education and Experience
Minimum Required Education: Graduation from an approved Radiography School
Experience: 5 plus years radiology experience to include completion of training in Diagnostic Radiology
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Applicants must be ARRT registered or registry eligible; applicants who are registry eligible must be registered within three months of employment. Must be BLS certified
