Description

Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Truck Fleet

Genoa, OH | $25–$35/hr | Full-Time Day Shift

Looking for a shop where you can turn wrenches, troubleshoot real problems, and keep equipment earning its keep? This is a hands-on fleet mechanic role working on heavy-duty trucks along with other fleet equipment.

A lot of the trucks are older, so this isn't just oil changes and basic PMs. You'll be diagnosing issues, chasing electrical and hydraulic problems, tackling breakdowns, and handling repairs in-house rather than sending everything out. You'll work alongside another mechanic at the Genoa shop, with room to take ownership of your work and make decisions on what needs fixing.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty diesel trucks and fleet equipment.
  • Handle engine, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and DOT-related service work.
  • Troubleshoot pumps, plumbing, and truck-mounted spray systems as needed — sprayer experience isn't required.
  • Take on repairs, component replacements, and occasional welding or fabrication as needed.
  • Test and verify repairs before putting equipment back into service.
  • Keep service records up to date and the shop organized.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 2 years of diesel or heavy truck mechanic experience.
  • Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting skills — you can find the problem, not just throw parts at it.
  • Comfortable working on older equipment and figuring out repairs.
  • Working knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
  • A valid driver's license and a safety-first approach to your work.

What's In It for You?

  • $25–$35/hour, depending on experience.
  • Day shift, 7:30am-4:00pm (Monday to Friday)
  • A hands-on shop environment where you can take ownership of repairs.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with multiple plan options and HSA contributions.
  • Flexible PTO.
  • 401(k) with employer match.
  • Life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and additional wellness benefits.
