Qualification - Preferred: ITI/Diploma in Automobile, Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, or a related trade.

 Non-ITI candidates with strong practical experience may also be considered, provided they can independently overhaul commercial vehicle engines, gearboxes, and differentials, and perform routine maintenance and repairs.  Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in heavy commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.

 Strong technical knowledge of heavy commercial vehicle systems and industrial fleet equipment.

Candidates should possess sound knowledge and practical experience in: o Heavy truck diesel engine overhauling and troubleshooting. o Clutch, gearbox, differential, steering, suspension, braking, and hydraulic systems. o Preventive maintenance and general repair of heavy commercial vehicles. o Maintenance of heavy-duty equipment, including tankers, super sucker trucks, hydro jetting units, dewatering pumps, chemical pumps, air compressors, forklifts, generators, bundle pullers, crystal cleaning machines, and similar fleet equipment. o Safe operation of workshop tools and basic diagnostic equipment.  Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.  Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.  Ability to read, write, and communicate in basic English.  Good teamwork, coordination, and commitment to safety and quality standards.

Vehicle & Equipment Inspection and Diagnosis  Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot heavy commercial vehicles and fleet equipment.  Complete inspection checklists, conduct road tests when required, and report findings to the Team Leader/Floor In-Charge. 2. Maintenance & Repair  Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, and fluid top-ups.  Independently repair, replace, or overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, gearboxes, differentials, clutches, brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulic systems, and other major components.  Service and maintain heavy trucks, tankers, super sucker trucks, hydro jetting units, dewatering pumps, chemical pumps, air compressors, forklifts, generators, bundle pullers, crystal cleaning machines, and other fleet equipment.
