Terracare Associates, Public Works division based out of Centennial, CO is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team!

Title: Shop Mechanic
FLSA Status: Full-Time Employee/Non-Exempt/Hourly
Reports to: Project Manager; Fleet Manager
Purpose: Service and maintain all equipment.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Project and Fleet Managers to assess equipment needs and resolve maintenance and repair problems by using the most cost effective practices.
- Monitor and schedule preventative maintenance and repair operations.
- Maintain and provide a report of all repairs and maintenance actions including parts and labor time on each piece of equipment.
- Order parts from vendors.
- Stay within monthly and yearly shop budgets.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Other Duties:
- Assist in managing inventory and tools.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and work to proactively maintain fleet and equipment.
- Run equipment.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required (unless otherwise noted):
- Thorough knowledge construction equipment, small engine equipment, trucks, and small trailer repairs and maintenance.
- Knowledge of snow removal equipment and safe operating procedures.
- Strong communication skills & conflict resolution skills.
- Basic computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications and Asset.
- A valid Commercial Driver’s License class B or better and ability to meet TCA guidelines for driver eligibility.
