Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age or older
Minimum 6+ years of diesel, heavy-duty vehicle, or fleet maintenance experience
Thorough knowledge of diesel-powered and heavy-duty vehicle systems; school bus experience preferred
Proficient in the setup, use, and operation of diagnostic tools, hand tools, and testing equipment
Strong understanding of safe work practices, including the handling of hazardous materials
Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, maintenance standards, and repair procedures
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Advanced computer-based diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair skills
Ability to independently diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic vehicle systems

Preferred Qualifications

Previous school bus, transit bus, or commercial fleet maintenance experience
Experience with advanced diagnostic software and OEM service platforms
Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and preventive maintenance practices
CDL not required to start. Must obtain a Class B CDL with Passenger (P) Endorsement within 60 days of hire. Paid training provided.
