This is a rare opportunity to join our team at Savage River Mine and work on equipment that keeps a major mining operation moving.
Based on-site at Savage River, you’ll work a Thursday – Wednesday 7/7 roster, giving you the opportunity to focus on the job while you’re on-site, then switch off and enjoy your time at home.
We’re looking for qualified Diesel Technicians who thrive in a high-performance environment, take pride in quality workmanship and want the opportunity to work on genuine Cat mining equipment.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Caterpillar surface mining equipment. Working closely with onsite supervisors, you’ll play a key part in delivering safe, reliable outcomes while maximising machine performance and customer value.

ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Caterpillar surface mining equipment. Reporting to the Service Supervisor, you’ll be directed by onsite supervisors and play a key part in delivering safe, reliable outcomes while maximising machine performance and customer value.
Key responsibilities of this role include:

Onsite troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on Cat equipment (predominately surface mining product) and their components; hydraulics, transmissions and engines
Completing all required paperwork accurately and effectively
Providing quality customer service at all times
Ensure the company property & tooling is maintained
Comply with all company and site based safety, health and environment procedures

ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role you will have the following skills, experience & attributes:

Qualified Diesel Technician
Current drivers’ licence
A strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures
Familiarity of Cat computer diagnostics
Previous experience on Cat mining equipment
High Risk Licence – Dogging and Forklift (great to have)
