The Diesel Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and vehicles to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and longevity. This role requires strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform maintenance and repairs efficiently, contributing to the safety and productivity of the fleet.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of diesel engines and vehicles to identify issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks to ensure peak vehicle performance.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Repair or replace engine components, electrical systems, and other mechanical parts to restore functionality.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors to minimize downtime and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve technical skills.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company standards while operating tools and equipment.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by clearly explaining repair processes, findings, and outcomes to clients.
