Are you someone who finds joy in serving others and creating a warm, welcoming dining experience? Allegro Fort Lauderdale is looking for a dependable, service-minded Dietary Aide to join our dining team for evening meal service.
Position Details:

Employment Type: Part-Time
Shift: PM Shift | Varying days
Hours: 4:30pm – 8:30pm
Pay: $16.00/hour

What You’ll Do:

Serve meals and beverages to residents in a courteous, attentive, and dignified manner
Assist with dining room setup, table service, and breakdown after each meal
Support the kitchen team with food preparation and plating as needed
Honor resident dietary preferences, restrictions, and special requests
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines throughout every shift

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a restaurant, hotel, or healthcare setting (required)
A friendly, patient, and service-oriented personality
Ability to work on your feet during evening meal service
Dependable, team-oriented, and professional
No certifications required

The primary responsibility of the Server is to accommodate residents and guests during their dining experience by attending to their needs in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.
Areas of Responsibility

Greet and seat residents and guests in a timely and professional manner as well as approach and interact with residents and guests in a friendly, service-oriented, and professional manner.
Serve food in an efficient and professional manner.
Clear tables of glasses, silverware, dishes, etc. when residents and guests have finished a course or their meal according to Company protocol.
Maintain a clean dining room. Chairs, windows, floors, and all work areas should be wiped down and sanitized after every meal period.
Deliver and retrieve trays to and from residents’ apartments as needed.
Label and date all food.

Required Qualifications

Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
Must pay attention to detail, be flexible/adaptable, have safety awareness, and be a team player.
Must have positive Criminal Background Screening.
The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.
Food serving experience preferred.
