Digital Assets Operations Associate
You will administer the process of reviewing, signing and validating digital asset transactions, ensuring the security and efficiency of the company's digital asset custody operations. You will work closely with the compliance team to make sure all transactions follow required regulations and internal policies. You will maintain accurate records, run and review reports, monitor for suspicious activity, investigate discrepancies, and manage the onboarding of new counterparties such as exchanges, custodians and trading desks. You'll be expected to stay current on the latest digital asset regulations and industry best practices while bringing thoughtful judgment to every transaction you process.
Responsibilities
- Administer the process of reviewing, moving and validating digital asset transactions
- Ensure all digital asset transactions follow company and regulator requirements
- Apply thoughtful judgment during review and operations rather than following rote process
- Process all digital asset transactions in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain accurate records of all digital asset transactions
- Run and review reports for accuracy and completeness for clients and internal reporting
- Monitor digital asset transactions for suspicious activity
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to digital asset transactions
- Work with other operations team members to ensure smooth running of digital asset custody operations
- Comply with internal and external policies and procedures related to digital asset custody operations
- Manage the onboarding process for new counterparties including exchanges custodians and trading desks ensuring compliance with KYC/AML regulations
- Stay up-to-date on the latest digital asset regulations and industry best practices
Requirements
- Familiarity with crypto technologies and processes
- Operations experience in traditional finance and custodial services is an asset
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Eagerness to learn and meticulous attention to detail
- Adaptable and organized, with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Attention to detail
- A background in crypto-native activities and professional experience in the field is an asset
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field such as Data Science, Library Science, media studies, etc
- 1-3 years of experience in digital asset operations or a related field
