Digital Automation Engineer 1
Description
The Digital Automation Engineer 1 supports the production, quality assurance, and publishing of digital content across web and email channels. This position works extensively within enterprise content management systems (CMS) and other digital publishing platforms to build, update, test, troubleshoot, and publish content while ensuring accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and compliance with established standards.
A successful candidate will bring substantial hands-on experience working regularly in a professional CMS environment. Experience with Brightspot is highly desirable, but demonstrated expertise with other established content management systems is also valuable. Candidates should understand more than basic page creation. They should be comfortable working within structured content models, templates, components, publishing workflows, and governance standards as part of ongoing production work.
The position also requires a strong foundation in HTML. Team members regularly review and troubleshoot HTML, perform quality assurance, make code-level adjustments, and work with templates used to develop email content. The position does not require a front-end software engineer, but it does require someone who is comfortable reading, understanding, evaluating, and modifying HTML in a production environment.
This role works under the direction of a resource manager within Publishing Services and partners closely with project managers, editors, designers, developers, platform teams, and other publishing personnel. Work is generally received through task-management systems or assigned directly by the resource manager for operational and process-improvement initiatives.
Please note that while this is subject to change, we currently operate in a hybrid remote model. The team comes into the office every Monday and works remotely for the rest of the week.
