Digital Construction & Transformation Program Manager
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Leading the digital transformation of BCS Group's fiber network construction and maintenance operations across Africa, initially focusing on 7 countries. The role combines deep technical knowledge of fiber network construction with digital transformation expertise to deliver a comprehensive managed services framework.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Construction Phase Leadership (Initial Focus):
- Lead digital transformation of fiber network construction and maintenance operations
- Design and implement standardized processes for cross-border construction activities
- Develop digital workflows for maintenance scheduling and execution
- Implement real-time project tracking and reporting systems
- Optimize fleet and workforce management across countries
- Create ROI models and value propositions for construction phase optimization
Technical Solution Architecture:
- Design integrated solutions incorporating core platforms:
- Agility (Operations Management)
- VetroFiber Map (Network Design)
- ZOHO One
- Fleet & Workforce Management solutions
- AWS API Gateway
- Connectivity for remote workforce
- IT infrastructure and support for the all staff involved with construction and network services
- Create technical architecture frameworks for cross-border operations
- Develop integration strategies for all systems
Commercial Development:
- Structure managed services framework for pan-African operations
- Develop detailed pricing models and commercial proposals
- Create country-specific implementation plans
- Design scalable solution for expansion to additional countries
Program Management:
- Lead solution discovery workshops with BCS stakeholders
- Manage vendor relationships and technology partnerships
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across countries
- Monitor and report on key transformation metrics
- Drive standardization of processes across operations
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
- Successful implementation of digital platforms across initial 7 countries
- Achievement of targeted benefits:
- 45% faster fiber roll outs
- 35% reduction in cost per premises

Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years experience in digital transformation roles
- Proven expertise in fiber network construction and maintenance operations
- Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure and systems
- Experience with ERP systems and cloud-based platforms
- Track record of leading large-scale transformation projects in Africa
- Experience in managed services structuring and delivery
