Digital Design Intern - Spring 2027
Summary
NXP Semiconductors is hiring a Digital Design Intern (Spring 2027) at its Austin office. The intern supports digital design implementation, coding/debugging digital logic, simulations, and documentation under senior engineers, collaborating with verification, physical design, and validation teams. Open to students in EE/CE/CS/Physics or related fields.
Job Responsibility:
-Contribute to digital design activities by contributing to design implementation, checks, simulations, and documentation.
-Assist with coding, reviewing, and debugging digital logic under guidance from senior engineers.
-Work with verification, physical design, and validation teams to enable project execution.
-Help maintain clear design records, test results, and technical documentation.
-Contribute to engineering quality, learning, and teamwork throughout the development cycle.
Requirements/Qualification:
-Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
-Hands-on experience from lab work, design projects, internships, coursework, or student competitions is a plus.
-Familiar with role-related engineering, design, verification, programming, or lab tools; willingness to learn quickly is important.
-Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, problem solving, testing, and technical documentation.
-Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.
-Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
