Digital Marketing Assistant

About the role

We’re hiring a Digital Marketing Assistant in Malta who wants to learn quickly and build real skills.

You don’t need to arrive as an SEO expert. We’re looking for someone comfortable with technology who enjoys figuring things out. You’ll learn SEO, performance analysis and how to use AI tools effectively alongside experienced SEOs, developers and content specialists.

The role follows a hybrid schedule from our Balluta Bay office in Malta, right on the water, with panoramic sea views and a full-size private gym.

What you’ll do

  • Learn the fundamentals of SEO and complete day-to-day work that helps our sites rank and perform better.
  • Learn to use AI tools and simple command-line workflows to research, analyse and automate parts of the work.
  • Research competitors, find keyword opportunities and help uncover useful gaps or trends.
  • Review site and page data to understand what is working and help investigate what is not.
  • Monitor website performance using Google Search Console, Ahrefs and internal dashboards.
  • Contribute ideas, ask questions and help solve real problems. This is not a repetitive data-entry role.

What we’re looking for

  • You are comfortable with technology, pick up new tools quickly and are not intimidated by unfamiliar systems.
  • You ask useful questions, make progress between check-ins and try to solve problems before waiting for an answer.
  • When you reach a roadblock, you research, test and experiment until you understand it better.
  • Strong written English.
  • Based in Malta or willing to relocate, and able to work from the Saint Julian’s office on a hybrid schedule.

Useful, but not essential

  • Evidence that you have taught yourself something useful through a degree, course, personal project or independent learning.
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS or another programming language.
  • Personal projects such as websites, bots, game modifications, side businesses or content channels.
  • Experience with competitive gaming, online communities or content creation.
  • An interest in search engines, algorithms or recommendation systems.

What success looks like after six months

You understand the core SEO workflow, use the main tools confidently and complete standard research, optimisation and reporting tasks with less supervision than when you started.

Why join Paradise Media

  • Learn directly from experienced SEOs, developers and content specialists.
  • Get support while taking on more independent work as your skills grow.
  • Work on sites where changes show up clearly in the data, creating a fast learning loop.
  • Receive a competitive salary and 27 days of paid annual leave, plus public holidays.
  • Use our Balluta Bay office, with panoramic sea views, a full-size gym and professional massage chairs.

How to apply

If you enjoy learning new tools, solving problems and building things, we would like to hear from you. When you apply, tell us about one thing you taught yourself or made outside school or work.
