Position: Digital Marketing & Content Coordinator
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Company

A growing national provider of Emergency Responder Radio Communication Systems, specializing in the design, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of in-building public safety communication systems.

We work with general contractors, developers, property managers, building owners, engineersand public safety agencies across the country.

We are looking for a creative and organized Digital Marketing & Content Coordinator who can help us maintain a professional, active, and consistent presence across our website, email marketing, social media, and other digital channels.

This is an ideal position for someone who is a digital marketing jack-of-all-trades. We are not necessarily looking for an expert in every area. We want someone who is comfortable working across several disciplines, learns quickly, has a good eye for design, and can consistently produce polished content.

Position Overview

The Digital Marketing & Content Coordinator will help create, edit, publish, and maintain the company's digital marketing content.

The role combines:

  • Graphic design
  • Website content creation
  • Email marketing
  • Social media content
  • Basic video and photo editing
  • Copywriting and editing
  • Content organization
  • Basic marketing analytics

The primary objective is to keep the company's digital presence professional, current, informative, and active.

The right person should be comfortable receiving an idea, project update, photo, technical topic, or rough draft and turning it into professional marketing content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Graphic Design & Brand Content

Create professional graphics and marketing materials consistent with the company brand, including social media graphics, LinkedIn posts, website graphics, email graphics, project highlights, company announcements, flyers, brochures, presentations, recruiting materials, and sales collateral.

Maintain consistency across company colors, fonts, logos, photography, and overall visual presentation.

Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or similar software is preferred.

  • Website Content

Assist with keeping the company website accurate, professional, and current, including adding new project content, updating service pages, creating landing pages, posting articles, editing existing copy, and reviewing the site periodically for outdated information.

Basic experience with WordPress or similar website platforms is preferred. Advanced web development or programming experience is not required.

  • Email Marketing

Create and coordinate company email campaigns using Mailchimp or similar platforms, including designing templates, creating newsletters, writing and editing content, maintaining contact lists, scheduling campaigns, and reviewing open rates and click-through rates.

  • Social Media & Content Creation

Help maintain a consistent flow of fresh content for the company, particularly on LinkedIn. The person should be comfortable taking information provided by leadership or employees and transforming it into content suitable for public distribution.

  • Content Editing & Copywriting

Review and improve company content for grammar, spelling, clarity, professional tone, formatting, and branding consistency. The position will frequently involve taking rough ideas, notes, photos, or technical information and converting them into clear, professional content.

Strong written English and attention to detail are important.

  • Photo & Video Content

Perform basic editing of photos and videos for marketing use, including cropping, resizing, adding logos or text, creating short social media videos, and editing short clips from job sites or company activities.

Advanced video production experience is not required.

  • Content Calendar & Marketing Coordination

Help maintain an ongoing marketing and content calendar so the company's digital presence remains active. The coordinator should help identify opportunities for new content rather than waiting for every assignment.

  • Marketing Performance & Analytics

Monitor basic marketing performance, including website traffic, email campaign performance, social media engagement, click-through rates, content engagement, and lead activity generated through digital campaigns.

The coordinator does not need to be a sophisticated marketing analyst, but should be comfortable reviewing basic metrics and identifying what content appears to be performing well.

Preferred Skills

  • Canva / Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms
  • WordPress or similar website platforms
  • LinkedIn and social media management
  • Basic video editing
  • Graphic design and email marketing
  • Copywriting and content creation
  • Basic SEO
  • Google Analytics or similar analytics tools

Experience with every platform listed above is not required. We are more interested in finding someone who is capable, creative, organized, technologically comfortable, and willing to learn.

Ideal Candidate

  • Creative and detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Able to manage multiple small projects simultaneously
  • A strong communicator
  • Comfortable learning new software
  • Able to take direction while also contributing ideas
  • Comfortable working with technical subject matter
  • Interested in learning about the BDA/ERRCS and public safety communications industry

Most importantly, this person should have the ability to take an idea and turn it into finished content. They do not need to be a world-class graphic designer, professional videographer, senior copywriter, web developer, and marketing strategist all at once. Instead, we are looking for someone who is competent across several digital marketing disciplines and knows how to get things done.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, graphic design, content creation, communications, or a related field preferred
  • Portfolio or examples of previous design/content work preferred
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Basic understanding of website content management
  • Ability to work with photos and basic video content
  • Strong computer, organizational, and time-management skills

A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is helpful but not required if the candidate can demonstrate the necessary skills and experience.
