The IT Engagement & Marketing Coordinator will strengthen how the Office of the CIO communicates, engages, and connects with the IT organization and broader campus community. Working under the direction of an IT manager, this role will plan, create, execute, monitor, and analyze the effectiveness of digital marketing, communications, and engagement initiatives that support organizational and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with IT communicators, marketers, program managers, and stakeholders to identify communication and marketing goals, target audiences, key messages, and engagement strategies.
- Research available marketing and communication channels and recommend the most effective channels for specific initiatives.
- Develop and execute digital marketing and communication plans, including compelling content and creative deliverables.
- Create marketing copy, digital content, presentations, communications, and promotional materials as needed.
- Manage campaigns across paid and owned social media, digital display, email newsletters and e-blasts, podcast sponsorships, paid search, and other digital channels.
- Apply knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and web analytics to improve campaign performance and audience engagement.
- Ensure communications and creative deliverables are consistent with established brand, quality, and organizational standards.
- Develop and support new communication channels that increase awareness and adoption of IT services, capabilities, and initiatives.
- Promote IT successes through storytelling, internal communications, newsletters, digital campaigns, and other engagement activities.
- Coordinate technology showcases, staff events, knowledge-sharing activities, and other IT engagement initiatives.
- Create opportunities for employees and stakeholders to better understand the value, capabilities, and impact of IT services.
- Coordinate small- to medium-sized IT initiatives by supporting project planning, stakeholder communications, meeting coordination, action tracking, and progress reporting.
- Establish repeatable communication, engagement, and event processes that improve organizational effectiveness and create sustainable resources for future initiatives.
- Develop regular reports and analyses highlighting campaign trends, key performance indicators, engagement metrics, and results.
- Educate and consult with stakeholders on digital marketing capabilities, communication strategies, advertising opportunities, and emerging digital media trends.
- Liaise with external publishers, advertising agencies, suppliers, designers, and other creative resources to support successful project execution.
- Monitor project budgets, invoices, media plans, and related expenditures to ensure effective use of resources.
- Support continuous improvement by evaluating campaign and event results and identifying opportunities to increase engagement and adoption.
- Experience developing and executing digital marketing, communications, or employee engagement campaigns.
- Experience using paid and owned social media, email marketing, digital advertising, and other digital communication channels.
- Experience with paid search, SEO, web analytics, and campaign performance reporting.
- Strong project coordination, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop compelling content for diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, stakeholders, and priorities simultaneously.
- Intermediate or better proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, Photoshop, and web analytics.
- Experience with CRM or marketing platforms such as Salesforce is helpful.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, external vendors, creative resources, and leadership.
