Digital Marketing Strategist

SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing Strategist is an individual contributor responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing multi-channel campaigns that work seamlessly across digital and offline touchpoints. This role turns business goals into cohesive, full-funnel strategies that connect paid, owned, and earned media to drive awareness, engagement, and conversion. This position contributes to website, digital marketing (including SEO), and social media efforts. This individual will work with the SVP of Marketing to proactively identify areas for campaign optimization. This is a highly cross-functional role supporting a diverse set of initiatives, enabling collaboration with all levels and groups across the organization while remaining hands-on.

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration or closely related fields of study, minimum of 7 years’ experience in marketing with a focus on digital channels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support a strong and consistent brand identity across all digital channels.
  • Support digital strategy with execution across website, social media, email, and digital media channels, including SEO.
  • Support alignment with business strategies and cross-functional team communication objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Integrated Campaign Strategy

  • Translate business objectives into integrated campaign strategies that align messaging, timing, and targeting across channels (web, email, social, search, display, content, and select offline).
  • Develop clear campaign briefs outlining target audiences, value propositions, key messages, offers, channels, and measurement plans.
  • Support end-to-end content production, working with external design resources to deliver content. Drive high-quality creation of content for the website, social and email marketing campaigns.
  • Review, write, and edit digital content for typographical, brand tone and voice, and graphic consistency – e.g., site content, SEO keywords and ad messaging, digital banner content, social posts.
  • Work with digital agencies to develop content (both copy and images) that are aligned with brand strategy and business objectives.
  • Implement digital marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand identity and integration with traditional media marketing channels.
  • Map campaigns to the customer journey, ensuring coordinated tactics for acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention.
  • Recommend audience segmentation and personalization strategies to improve relevance and performance.

Planning, Execution, and Orchestration

  • Partner with channel owners (email, paid media, social, web, events, branches/sales) to coordinate timelines and deliverables.
  • Ensure creative concepts and assets are appropriately adapted for each channel while maintaining a cohesive campaign narrative.
  • Optimize performance, identifying opportunities for campaign optimization and reinvestment of digital media.
  • Oversee campaign setup and quality assurance (QA) across platforms, ensuring correct targeting, tracking, and deployment.

Optimization and Performance Management

  • Recommend KPIs for each campaign and channel, aligned to funnel stages (reach, engagement, leads, applications, conversions, loyalty).
  • Monitor performance regularly, identifying optimization opportunities across audiences, creative, messaging, and channel mix.
  • Lead A/B and multivariate tests (subject lines, landing pages, calls to action (CTAs), formats) and document learnings for future campaigns.
  • Prepare clear, actionable performance readouts with insights and recommendations for stakeholders.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Alignment

  • Work closely with the SVP of Marketing to ensure campaigns support business and operational goals.
  • Coordinate with creative teams to provide strategic direction, feedback, and context for assets and content.
  • Partner with analytics/BI teams to refine attribution, reporting, and insight generation across channels.

Governance, Process, and Best Practices

  • Maintain campaign and asset documentation, including briefs, timelines, and post-campaign reports.
  • Help standardize processes for intake, prioritization, approvals, and launch to improve speed and consistency.
  • Ensure all campaigns follow brand guidelines, legal/compliance requirements, and data privacy standards.
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends, emerging channels, and platform changes, bringing new ideas to test.
  • Maintain working knowledge of regulatory compliance related to member services and financial services areas.
  • Ensure that Mirastar’s brand and professional reputation are maintained across digital platforms.
  • Resolve questions, requests, and problems courteously and within the given timeline.
  • Provide project management support to ensure deadlines are met and perform other related duties as requested or assigned.
  • Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act, including but not limited to reporting suspicious activities to your supervisor and BSA Officer.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Expertise in digital and direct marketing channels.
  • Strong knowledge of how to use online analytical tools (Google Analytics, FB reporting, etc.).
  • Must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines with little supervision, and be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Critical thinking skills, proactive problem-solving, and a roll-up-your-sleeves can-do positive attitude.
  • Must have excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and incomplete information.
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks, prioritize based on business impact, and meet deadlines while producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to pivot and change course quickly, taking the lead to course-correct.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal across levels of the organization.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and other marketing software applications.
  • Experience with Canva and email marketing software is preferred.
  • Ability to provide high-level copywriting when needed.
